Adidas Continues Selling Yeezy Sneakers Despite Collaboration End

Adidas has made the decision to continue selling a new batch of Yeezy-branded sneakers from a collaboration with rapper Ye, also known as Kanye West. This collaboration came to an end due to the artist’s controversial behavior and comments.

Charity Donations Planned

Although Adidas initially considered donating the shoes or removing the Yeezy branding, it has instead chosen to sell the sneakers and donate a portion of the proceeds to charitable organizations.

Successful Sales Numbers

The two Yeezy drops in the previous year significantly boosted net sales, totaling around 750 million euros ($811.7 million), as reported in the full-year report. The company’s choice not to discount the majority of its Yeezy inventory also contributed to positive results in the fourth quarter.

Future Releases

Adidas announced its plans to release the remaining Yeezy inventory throughout the year. These releases will include a variety of existing products, such as the popular 350 V2 model, and will roll out gradually in different locations worldwide.

Ongoing Collaboration History

The collaboration between Adidas and Ye began in 2013 to develop the Yeezy line, which has since gained significant popularity.
