Walmart+ Membership: More Accessible Than Ever

2 Mins read

Walmart has taken a step towards inclusivity with the launch of Walmart+ Assist. This program offers Americans on government assistance, including food stamps, the opportunity to avail a Walmart+ membership at a significantly reduced price.

Affordable Membership Options

Normally priced at $98 per year paid upfront ($8.17 per month) or $12.95 per month, a standard Walmart+ membership provides numerous benefits. However, for those eligible for Walmart+ Assist, the membership is available at just $49 per year or $6.47 per month.

Exciting Benefits

With a Walmart+ membership, members can enjoy exclusive perks such as savings of up to 10 cents per gallon at select gas stations including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Murphy’s, Exxon, and Mobil. In addition to this, members can access exclusive discounts both online and in-store, enjoy free shipping with no minimum purchase required, receive free and often same-day delivery from local stores on orders over $35, and even get a complimentary subscription to Paramount+.

Eligibility and Enrollment

Potential members will be assessed for eligibility using SheerID. Existing customers who qualify and sign up for Walmart+ Assist will receive a prorated refund and the new price will be effective immediately. New members, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to try out Walmart+ with a 30-day trial.

Is it Worth It?

Many experts believe that even at the original price, a Walmart+ subscription offers value for money. However, whether it is truly worth it depends on individual needs and preferences.

Is Walmart+ Membership Worth It?

When Walmart+ was launched last year, it instantly became a solid alternative to an Amazon Prime membership. Just like Amazon, Walmart+ offers exclusive deals to its members, making the membership more valuable.

In today’s economy, where inflation is at an all-time high and the cost of groceries and household necessities keeps rising, the extra savings that Walmart provides can be a major help. And if you’re someone who frequently shops at Walmart and often orders things for delivery, then the price of the membership is definitely worth it.

Walmart+ is primarily focused on shopping and delivery benefits. If you prefer placing small orders as you need them, this membership will be particularly advantageous for you. Plus, families who are constantly on the go and don’t have time to run errands will greatly appreciate the free same-day delivery on orders of $35 or more.

So, the question remains – is it worth it? We’ve put together this guide to help you decide if a Walmart+ membership is the right fit for you.
