The Thailand SET Index (SET) experienced a significant increase on Thursday, rising by 0.7% to reach 1,403.80.

  • Jasmine International (JAS): Leading the session with a remarkable surge of 11.0%, this technology company saw a substantial increase in its shares.

  • Thai Coconut (COCOCO): Following closely behind, Thai Coconut witnessed a jump of 10.1%, positioning itself as one of the top performers of the day.

  • Nex Point (NEX): With an 8.7% increment in its shares, Nex Point, specializing in the technology sector, secured its spot among the top three leaders on Thursday.

Declines in the Market

  • Cal-Comp Electronics (CCET): Facing a decline of 8.9%, Cal-Comp Electronics, an industrial goods firm, experienced the largest drop in its shares for the day.

  • Sermsang Power (SSP): This company witnessed a decrease of 3.8% in its shares, closely followed by shares of real estate/construction company, WHA Corp. PCL (WHA), which declined by 2.9%.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong stocks saw an upward trend, with the Hang Seng Index (HSI) marking a substantial increase of 1.5%.

Japan

Japanese companies, represented by the NIKKEI 225 Index (NIK), experienced a rise of 2.2% in their shares.

China

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index (SHCOMP) reflected a gain of 1.3%, indicating a positive market performance.

South Korea and Australia

The KOSPI Composite Index of South Korean stocks showed a growth of 0.4%, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index remained relatively flat for the day.

Currency Front

On the currency front, the U.S. dollar saw a slight decline against the Thai baht, falling by 0.1% to 35.83 baht. Meanwhile, the euro strengthened against the baht, climbing by 0.2% to reach 38.88 baht.
