This contract encompasses a range of essential services to support the sustainment efforts for various branches of the military and international defense participants.

Scope of Work

The scope of work includes ground maintenance activities, depot activation activities, and comprehensive pilot and maintainer training. These efforts are crucial in ensuring the operational readiness and efficiency of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Air Systems. The services will benefit the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, foreign military customers, and non-U.S. Department of Defense participants.

Key Locations and Timeline

The majority of the work will be conducted in Fort Worth, Texas, and Orlando, Florida. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 2027, highlighting Lockheed Martin’s long-term commitment to supporting the F-35 program.

Additional Contracts

In addition to the $663.1 million contract modification, Lockheed Martin has also secured a $170.8 million modification for a Texas indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract and a $109.3 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in Florida. These contracts will support the integration of the Trident II Missile and re-entry subsystems into the Common Missile Compartment for the U.S. Columbia/U.K. Dreadnought submarine construction programs.
